I love your long, curl locks..

And your old sense of style,

Maybe you’ll be home for real…in just a little while.

It’s been a few years too long,

And I miss you of late,

The real Taylor that was fearless, is she okay?

I listened to her albums,

At school every day,

Her advice, her stories, the words she would say.

But maybe the sparks that flew,

Became her persona she never truly knew,

The sparks that were once real,

Became scars from fame, hard to heal.

I’m not sure, maybe she’s lost, her meaning, mistranslated,

Deep down, talented, her music always fated,

I hope to see the curls, hear her song again,

Fearless, in the storm, the living dance in the rain.

This is just a poem that I wrote reminiscing my love for all the songs by Taylor Swift that I loved, cherished & listened to at school every day. By the way, I still love the music that she wrote and I still love her.

I personally feel that for the past decade, she hasn’t really grown up and she’s gotten older without really knowing herself. Through fame, from her relationships, I’ve just had thoughts that everything that she’s gone through is a result of a potential, underlying issue with self concept and loneliness.

Relationship breakups often stem from some form of dissatisfaction in one way or another and what I see is that she hasn’t really developed her self concept to know exactly & truly what she wants and even more so, what she really needs. It could be that she’s gone through her relationships without really finding what she’s supposed to be looking for. Looking at this from my perspective, I think it’s important for people, not just her to recognise that being with another person doesn’t fulfil you or complete you and that as an individual we have to be fulfilled on our own before we can really thrive in relationship and evolve in a positive way. 

To the readers out there, I am definitely not trying to assume that my perspective is factual or true. Not at all. These are just personally my thoughts as I know many a lot of people who seem to be experiencing the same issues & the same events seem to be unfolding in a similar way so I thought I would write about it. 

If Taylor Swift ever reads this, I hope she knows that as a fan, all I am is concerned for her.
